Four Bridges is a Bluegrass band based in New England performing traditional bluegrass, original tunes and a mix of tasty covers. Four Bridges is a quartet w/ fiddle, banjo, stand up bass, mandolin and vocals.
Jeremy Place-mandolin, guitar, banjo, and vocals.
By day, Jeremy is music educator. At night, he’s an avid songwriter and bread baker. He picks and writes after he gets his two young boys tucked in bed and a couple of loaves in the oven. Jeremy lives in Middleboro, MA.
Benjamin Marshall-banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, vocals & bass.
Growing up in Rhode island, his dad Rusty was a pit man and mechanic on the stock car racing circuit and brought little Ben with him all along the east coast. Rusty also winter plowed and took Ben, a pot of coffee and a Flatt & Scruggs double eight track every time he left to work those long nights. The rest is history. Ben admires and respects the bluegrass icons and that sound is very much a part of Ben's musical chemistry. Look for Ben's Dad, Rusty, manning our record table. Ben and Rusty are Rhode Islanders.
Greg “Greggy Good” Ferreira-mandolin, guitar, banjo, harmonica, fiddle, bass and vocals.
Greg is a classically-trained pianist who loves music. As a young boy, Greg passionately practiced Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 in between playing baseball and other childhood pastimes like catching frogs and shooting bows and arrows. Bill Monroe & the Stanley's caught his ear and he got to work playing that high lonesome sound. Hailing from Aquidneck Island, he is the tallest member of Four Bridges and is often the one hooting & hollering & getting everyone pumped up.
Nelson Hiller-bass, mandolin, guitar and vocals.
A talented and prolific songwriter, Nelson is blessed with a sharp wit and an ear for good music. He always brings life to the stage. You can often find him leading jams and bringing people together at bluegrass events.
