Matt Fraza Band 8:00 start
Ravi Shavi 9:15 start
RAVI SHAVI is the sound of garage pop – a concoction of classic punk, modern indie, and new wave, with a shot of rock n' roll. Known for their frenetic live show, RAVI SHAVI performances have been characterized by press as "relentless" and "inspiring dance floor seizures". Leader Rafay Rashid put out a killer solo lp last year: described here: “anguished, haunted or pleading, Rashid pokes deep into existential dread, processing the ashes of a decade-long relationship and standing on the cusp of his thirties facing mental and physical ruin. Written on a piano in the basement of a decrepit triple-decker during a “moment before the moment of clarity,” the album follows Rashid as he wrestles with ego, questions of identity and autonomy, and the purpose of art itself.”
Matt Fraza Band is Curtis Eaton on lead guitar, Gordon Wilhelm on drums, and Gavin Waldheger on bass. Matt's recent ep Phrases, a collaborative effort with Bob Kendall, is available now via Bandcamp and 75 or Less Records. Matt loves popsicles.
