Julie Rhodes is a powerhouse vocalist with an authentic soul, grounded both in the songwriting traditions of yesterday’s Americana and today’s very present social and political issues —supported by harmonious folk sprites How's About Charlie. In 2015 Beth, Nicole, and Amanda admired each other as individual artists performing at local venues before they decided to band together to cover a Paramore song. Soon thereafter, they formed a trio called The Fates and for 2 years wrote and performed together under this moniker. In 2017, at a community arts festival, a comic book artists made a suggestion and a sketch that born the name How's About Charlie. In 2018 the trio asked Aaron to play percussion for a live show and he quickly became a permanent member of the band. Today, How's About Charlie performs throughout New England and frequently in the band's hometown of Providence, RI.
